About the Team Members

Team requirements and description

All members of StraightWay have chosen and are required to live by the highest standards in order to be a part of the team. They consider it an honor and “high calling” to have the opportunity to play a part in the lives of other young people and therefore are willing to make the necessary sacrifices. However, they’ve soon found these “sacrifices” to be nothing compared to the rewards and benefits of giving hope to their generation.

These requirements include, first and foremost, living out their message. They realize that their words carry no weight unless they are able to walk it out in their every day situations. Anyone who’s ever had the chance to see and hear StraightWay “live”, will know that the group’s message is one in which they’re fully persuaded. For this reason, they deliver that message with great conviction as their own experiences have proven it to be true.

Other requirements include keeping good grades! -Some of the younger members (the ones still in high school) use lap top computers with a home-school curriculum to do their work. This allows them to work at their own pace (get ahead or catch up) when they’re on the road and doing a lot of shows. A typical day may consist of doing around 4 shows (ex: 2 in the morning & 2 in the afternoon), then heading back to the hotel to do their own work (school) for an hour or 2, going to dinner and then coming back to the hotel to do a few more hours of school… in other words, “They’re dedicated!”

Off the road, they must also be showing respect to their parents and leaders, serving in their homes and setting the right examples for those around them (brothers/sisters/friends). Imagine… doing all that and they still, somehow, manage to have the best time ever, as they live out their dreams… or sometimes just amuse themselves (see the latest photos under the "candid," or "funny" slideshows).
